This is a collection of songs I recorded during the COVID-19 pandemic, specifically the first UK lockdown. As the title suggests, it is on one level an ironic portrait of a certain kind of lockdown experience, which myself and my partner were lucky enough to share. However, for many people, lockdown was truly awful, and watching hipsters show off about their renewed love of nature, sourdough bread, and the NHS, extremely nauseating. It took me a long time to publish this album because, on another level, it is deeply personal. I feel like it really captures soemthing about that experience, which was rich, unique and transformative.

All electronic music created on my Ipad, with Cubase and Korg Gadget software apps. Other instruments played by me or Helen. Voices taken either from the public sphere (TV, podcasts etc) or from my surroundings, via my dictaphone, almost entirely without permission. Thanks to Chris Jones for lending me her beautiful pump organ.
